(From the Novel: The Namesake and Brick Lane) Many themes we can find in The Namesake and Brick Lane. One theme I interested in is that the main characters in both stories obey the parent. The reason why I decided to discuss this theme is that people have many ways to show their respect to parents. Regardless, whether the way's considered true or false according to people's judgment.
